Everything by voidtools.

Okay, since i am too lazy to organize all my software, music, movie related or just random recommendations / hacks, i have decided to launch “Daily PC Tips” series. I will focus on keeping it short, some are really useful and some might be not, its just mostly  because i want to post something daily.

So my first recommendation had to be my go to tool “Everything” that i use on every computer. So what is “Everything” and what it does ? Basically its a tool that replaces boring and time consuming “Search Bar” that is built-in your windows. All you have to do is wait 1-2 mins after launching and it will index every file, hence as you are typing something in search bar, results will instantly show up and its totally free. So to summarise, advantages of everything:

• Freeware

• Small Size

• Monitors every change automatically (unless you specify to not)

• Supports including and exlcuding folders (even network folders)

• Supports boolean operators. (for ex: ” *.avi | *.mp4 ” will list all avi and mp4 files)

• Supports sorting files
